Mrs Paddy Power Mares Chase

The Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase is a recent addition to the Festival, first run in 2021. Officially the Liberthine Mares’ Chase, it’s run over the same course and distance as the Ryanair Chase.

Each mare carries a minimum of 11st 2lb, with penalties for Grade 1 (5lb) and Grade 2 (3lb) winners. The race encourages owners and trainers to develop the population of quality jumping mares, helping secure the sport’s future.
