Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle
The Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle is the final race of the Cheltenham Festival, taking place at 5.30pm on day four.
It was established in 2009 and is named in honour of Martin Pipe, a 15-time champion trainer who retired in 2006 with 34 victories at the festival.
It is open only to conditional jockeys – professional riders who are still at the start of their careers.
It usually attracts a big field of closely rated runners.
