Ultima Festival Trophy Chase
The Ultima Handicap Chase is the first handicap of the week at the Festival.
In a handicap race the weight each horse carries is decided by the handicapper – the horse with the highest rating carries top weight.
Ultima Business Solutions have sponsored the race since 2015.
It is a great prep race for the Grand National as horses to have won this race races include West Tip, Seagram and Rough Quest, while Corach Rambler won this in both 2022 and 2023 before going on to win the big one at Aintree.
